Located in the courtyard of honour in Palazzo Taffini, the garden is the most accomplished expression of MÚSES. A garden dominated by a fountain with perfumed jets created by Franz Stähler that, whatever the season, stimulates the visitor’s senses through plants, flowers, sounds and perfumes that reawaken the senses.
The cultivars pick up on the iconographic themes of the Sala degli Dei (Hall of the Gods) and the Salone d’Onore (Salon of Honour) but also on the legends and the ancient local traditions of the monks who healed the afflicted with mint, santolina, hyssop, camomile, helichrysum italicum, lavender and rosemary. The combination of rare ornamental species and aromatic plants generates a chromatic continuity thanks to seasonal blossoms.
The Garden of the Senses is the heart of a cultural and tourist route cared for by Terre dei Savoia, “The Gardens of Essences”, to which belong the Roman Garden of Bene Vagienna, the Renaissance Garden of the Lagnasco Castles, the Garden of Edible Flowers in Cherasco and the Garden of Peonies at Racconigi Castle.
